This problem leads to the towing of small cars on an trailer frame being the larger motorhomes or a motorcycle and in some cases a more environmentally friendly form of transport in the bicycle.

Campervan hire is becoming popular, especially with the increasing number of international tourists visiting our lovely country these days.
Some of our slightly more affluent backpackers are now hiring the smaller motorhomes as a more reliable form of transport than hitchhiking and as we are all aware it is far more secure than hitchhiking these days. Recently we have seen a flood of small motorhomes and one other type of camping vehicle that has become very popular in recent years is the Backpackers Camping vehicle. This has been brought about by the ever increasing number of Backpacker tourists arriving in Australia to explore the country. In days gone by the Backpacker used to thumb a lift around the countries that they visited. However the higher standard of living enjoyed by the younger population of developed countries has resulted in them have more money to spend. Also the increased threat caused by an escalating crime rate, to the security of thumbing a lift in a lot of countries, has also had a significant effect. It is therefore only to be expected that there will be a corresponding increase in the need for a more secure but cheaper method of transport for this group of tourists.
